Easy to make yourself, this Ipad and charging station is awesome for the kitchen where things tend to get messy! Often you can easily find the frame and plate holder in the sale section of a department store or places like Home Goods or Marshalls.
The Ipad Charger and Holder is an idea I thought of after many close incidents of my phone laying in a puddle of something that would have ruined it and stained pages in cookbooks, or left recipe cards wet and unreadable. There are many chargers/holders out there but I needed one to match my decor. You can keep your charger cords behind the stand and pull the cord through the chicken wire so it connects with your Ipad or phone. What I like about this is it also holds a tablet or smartphone, recipe cards, and a cookbook. Definitely don’t want those to be wet!
Simple to make I found the frame and plate holder in the discount section at TJ Maxx. The chicken wire I did get at the craft store. So you will need those things and a wire cutters and thumbtacks. Actually, the quickest craft I’ve made in a while. I Sanded the edges of the frame and the plate holder to go with the rustic look. You can see more rustic decor here.
After you cut the wire to the desired size, stretch over the back of your frame and tack in place.
Turn your frame sideways for longer cabinets or areas where space is limited under cabinets.
In my kitchen the counter space is limited so this holder allows more space for me to work. I do like cooking spur of the moment and with a scoop of this and a dash of this but most times I am trying something new and following a recipe from pinterest or another website.
