I got to know Layla Palmer’s site, The Lettered Cottage, back when she helped my BFF Hyacinth rethink some elements of her living room. Since then, I’ve become a regular reader; I’m smitten with her style, her evident love for her cute musician husband, and the gorgeous fixer-upper they’ve…well, fixed up together.

I get lost in Layla’s site. She covers single topics relating to small home improvement projects, shows the progress of projects both in her house and other houses, and even chronicles her and her husband’s journey toward adopting a child.

But one of the most magical sections of Layla’s site is the Before and After page. Here’s a peek at a couple of transformations:
